Coronavirus cases detected in 24 Bishkek schools

Bishkek, April 26, 2021 . / Kabar / . The epidemiological situation in Bishkek remains tense, 138 new cases of coronavirus infection and pneumonia were registered in the last 24 hours, the capital’s Mayor’s Office reported on Monday.

On April 14, the capital's educational organizations resumed their work in offline and online modes.

As of April 26, 14 schools across Bishkek have switched to distance learning.

Two kindergartens in the capital were also closed for quarantine.

In addition, 24 schools, where COVID-19 cases were detected, continue to work, 18 classes were switched online.

The full switch to online depends on the number of contacts with child or teacher infected, the final decision is made by epidemiologists of the Centers for Disease Control and Epidemiology.

"Dear townspeople! We earnestly ask each of you to observe sanitary norms: wear masks, strengthen personal hygiene, systematically treat your hands with antiseptic, and most importantly, limit visits to public places, keep your distance. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!”, the report says.
