Coronavirus claims 1 more life in Kyrgyzstan, 27 in total

Bishkek, June 13, 2020. /Kabar/. Over the past 24 hours, one death from COVID-19 was recorded in Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev said at a briefing.

He added a man, 52, died in Osh City Hospital.

"His condition was extremely serious. Despite the medical assistance provided, the patient died. The cause of death was acute respiratory failure, cardiovascular failure against the background of polyorgan failure. He admitted to hospital after self-medication," Usenbayev explained.

Nationwide death toll from novel coronavirus has reached 27.

Kyrgyzstan confirmed on Saturday 41 new cases of coronavirus infection, a total of 2,207.

429 cases of them were revealed among medical workers.

1,772 citizens have cured and been discharged from hospitals, including 339 medics.
