Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2020 / Kabar /. An operational headquarters has been set up in Kyrgyzstan to monitor the situation with the coronavirus and to prevent this virus, head of the public health department Ainura Akmatova told at a press conference in the Ministry of Health.
She said that the headquarters included experts not only from medical institutions, but also employees of the Border Service, the State Inspectorate, the Ministry of Culture of Information and Tourism, as well as other government agencies. “The headquarters also maintains constant contact with the World Health Organization in order to monitor operational information on the situation with the coronavirus,” Akmatova said.
The representatives of the Health Ministry said that no cases of suspected coronavirus have been recorded in Kyrgyzstan,
At the end of December last year, Chinese authorities reported an outbreak of pneumonia of unknown origin in Wuhan. Experts found that the causative agent of the disease was a new type of coronavirus - NCoV. NCoV can cause pneumonia, an inflammation of the lung tissue. Infected people complain of shortness of breath, coughing, shortness of breath, and fever.
According to data, as of January 23, the number of cases reached 571 people. The virus has already spread outside of China, cases of infection recorded in South Korea, Japan, Thailand and the United States. In addition to this, in the world today there are 17 deaths of patients from this disease, and all of them are Chinese citizens living or leaving Wuhan.
