Coronavirus pandemic kills 25 Kyrgyz scientists

Bishkek, Sept. 4, 2020. /Kabar/. During the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, 25 scientists untimely passed away, Chairwoman of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Tynaliyeva told during a briefing.

The agency is grieving at the loss of the country's scientists.

"We express our condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased scientists," the chairwoman added.

Kyrgyzstan registered 44,227 coronavirus cases so far, including 39,426 recoveries.

Death toll of the country stands at 1,060.
