Coronavirus’ Update: Over 84,000 Kyrgyzstanis recovered from respiratory disease

Bishkek, March 18, 2021 . / Kabar /. As of today, a total of 8,031 recoveries from COVID-19 coronavirus infection were registered in Kyrgyzstan since the outbreak of the virus.

According to the latest report from the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19, another 51 patients have cured of the respiratory disease in the last 24 hours.

Kyrgyzstan confirmed on Thursday 98 new COVID-19 cases, after conducting 3,597 tests within a day, raising the tally of infections to 87,143.

The death toll from COVID-19 in the country stood at 1,485, no new deaths were reported over the past day.

Currently, 347 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals, 17 of them are in critical condition. Another 337 patients are being treated at home.

COVID-19 was first detected in Kyrgyzstan on March 18, 2020 and the first virus-related death was reported on Apr. 2 the same year.
