Coronavirus update: Two more cases of coronavirus infection registered in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, March 23. 2020 / Kabar /. Two more confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection have been identified in Kyrgyzstan, head of the public health department of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Ainura Akmatova told at a briefing in the Government House.

She noted that two residents of Nookat region of Osh Oblast 60 years old man and woman were infected.

“They are hospitalized in the infectious ward. Their condition is currently satisfactory,” she said.

Akmatova said that the work is underway to find contact citizens.

Thus, today the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan has reached 16 people.

The first case of coronovirus infection has been registered in Kyrgyzstan on March 18, when three Kyrgyz citizens have been tested positive after returning from Saudi Arabia from Umrah.
