Bishkek, Nov. 22, 2018 / Kabar /. President Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Decree “On the Council for Relations with Compatriots Abroad under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic”.
The President’s press service said that the decree says:
“In recent years, the number of our compatriots working abroad, who are interested in investing in various economic projects in Kyrgyzstan is growing. The state will strongly encourage such initiatives and create all the necessary conditions for those who want to invest in the economy of Kyrgyzstan.
Appropriate financial mechanisms and the necessary infrastructure should be developed to encourage investment by our compatriots in promising areas of production in order to learn and apply the experience of other countries to create new industries and enterprises in the country.
All parties are interested in building constructive interaction between the state and compatriots living abroad, consolidating the potential of diasporas for the development of Kyrgyzstan.
Thus, a management system has been created at the state level to maintain a close dialogue with compatriots who are associated with Kyrgyzstan with historical, cultural, economic, family ties, as well as with diaspora organizations in the host country”.
In order to ensure coordination of efforts in this direction of all branches of state power, the President decreed to form the Council for Relations with Compatriots Abroad under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The chief of the President’s Office of Kyrgyzstan is assigned to control over the implementation of this Decree.
The members of the Council are activists, MPs, heads of diasporas abroad.
The main goal of the Council is to strengthen interaction and ensure effective cooperation between the state and compatriots on dynamic economic, cultural, social development of the Kyrgyz Republic, support, protection of the rights and interests of compatriots abroad.
