Bishkek, Feb. 22, 2022. / Kabar /. Counselor of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Tajikistan Aibek Adanbaev took part in the round table held on February 22 on the topic “SCO 2022: on the way to new development goals”. The event is dedicated to the first anniversary of the establishment of the SCO Friendship and Cooperation Center, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The round table was attended by the deputy secretary general of the SCO, partners of the Center, including the SCO Youth Platform "SCOLAR Network", a branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University in Dushanbe, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the embassies of the SCO member states and experts.
The organizers presented the Action Plan of the SCO Friendship and Cooperation Center in Tajikistan for 2022, including joint projects that expand the areas of cooperation between public diplomacy mechanisms within the SCO.
During the event, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Tajikistan emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic considers cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as one of the priorities of its foreign policy. It was also noted that the events planned for 2022 under the leadership of the SCO Friendship and Cooperation Center in Tajikistan will in practice further strengthen cooperation between the SCO member states within the Organization.
In turn, representatives of the SCO Friendship and Cooperation Center in Tajikistan noted the importance of developing cross-border cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, in particular, organizing various cultural and other events between residents of the border areas of the countries.
In addition, the interest of the Center in cooperation and establishing contacts with the Cultural and Integration Center of the SCO countries in Bishkek was expressed.
