Bishkek, July 10 / Kabar /. A counterfeiter, a citizen of one of the CIS countries, was detained in Issyk-Kul oblast, the press service of the Issyk-Kul oblast police department reported.
According to the report, an employee of the exchange office of the village of Bostery called police because on July 8 at approximately 1 pm an unknown European man, aged about 50-55 years exchanged 4 banknotes of € 500 totaling € 2,000. During the exchange, the employee of the exchange office noticed that the money was counterfait, and called the police.
Thus, 54-year-old citizen of one of the CIS countries L. Valeriy was detained. The police found out that the detainee was wanted by the Chui regional police department for fraud.
