Country has sufficient number of test systems to detect coronavirus, says health minister

Bishkek, Apr.6, 2020./Kabar/. Today, Apr.6, at a briefing at Government House Kyrgyzstan's Health Minister Sabirzhan Abdikarimov gave information about an epidemiological situation in the country as of 10:00 a.m. on Apr.6.

According to him, the country has 76 thousand test systems, 30 thousand of them have been used.

Minister Abdikarimov explained that all persons who have had contact with the coronavirus infected patients are checked through the test system, and only in the presence of a positive result they undergo PCR-analysis.

As of Apr. 6, Kyrgyzstan has 69 new cases of COVID-19 infection, 216 in total, of which 9 are medical workers.

19 citizens have recovered and discharged from hospitals. Another 23 people are preparing to be discharged, and their results are negative.

Death toll from coronavirus in the country has reached 4.
