Bishkek, June 20, 2020. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, three fatalities from COVID-19 have been recorded in the past 24 hours, raising the total number to 35, Nurbolot Usenbayev, chief medical officer and deputy health minister said at a briefing.
According to him, two men (62-, 61-years-old) and a woman (59) died.
"The man, 62, resident of Issyk-Kul Oblast had a fever since June 8. He went to a family doctor and was prescribed treatment for acute respiratory disease. But due to the deterioration of his condition he was admitted to the hospital on June 15. He was diagnosed with pneumonia, acute respiratory failure and also acute heart failure. The man died the day before, despite the doctors' efforts," Usenbayev said.
"Another man, 61, fell ill on June 17, complaining of coughing, fever, difficulty breathing. He was hospitalized with the coronavirus in a private clinic, but his condition deteriorated sharply and he died the day before.
As for woman, resident of Osh Oblast, she was hospitalized on June 18 with the diagnosis of coronavirus with extremely severe current. She was diagnosed with pneumonia, acute respiratory failure, and concomitant heart diseases.
According to the patient, she lived with coronavirus symptoms for 9 days, while at home she was self-medicating," Usenbayev added.
Kyrgyzstan’s Health Ministry reported on Saturday 192 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 2981.
A total of 1,981 citizens have cured of coronavirus infection.
Currently, 498 people remained hospitalized, and 5 patients are in intensive care.
