Bishkek, Apr.1, 2020. /Kabar/. At a briefing at the Government House, Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Development Aliza Soltonbekova said quarantine has increased the number of domestic violence in the republic.
"We have faced an increase in domestic violence. Therefore, psychological and counseling assistance is provided on number 111. Anyone who needs it can contact this number," she said.
As of Apr.1, 111 cases of coronavirus were registered in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Three of patients infected have recovered.
From March 25 to April 15, a state of emergency is in force in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Dzhalal-Abad, Nookat and Kara-Suu regions of Osh Oblast and in Suzak region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast.
Movement for all citizens, except for those who are issued with a pass, namely internal affairs officers and medical and civil servants, is limited between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (night time). A curfew is established.
