Bishkek, Nov. 25, 2020. /Kabar/. Сondition of 150 coronavirus patients in the infectious disease hospital assessed as serious, and 21 patients are in critical state, chief physician of the Republican Infectious Disease Clinical Hospital Gulzhigit Aaliyev said during an online briefing.
According to him, the hospital has already treated 3,500 patients with COVID-19.
"250 medical workers are working in red zone, 40 of them are doctors and the rest are nurses. The hospital has 48 intensive care beds. We have a lot of equipment and medicines. However, the hospital lacks air purifier, recirculators, portable X-ray equipment, quality pulse oximeters and protective equipment," Aaliyev said.
He noted the population still does not follow basic sanitary and epidemiological rules, such as wearing medical masks, social distance, washing hands, etc.
The chief physician thanked the embassy and donor organizations for their assistance in combating coronavirus infection.
