Roadblocks set up in second Kyrgyzstan's region with coronavirus cases registered

Bishkek, Mar.20, 2020./Kabar/.On the territory of Nookat region (Osh Oblast) in connection with the introduction of an emergency situation 35 roadblocks have been set up, Kabar Agency has learnt from the press service of the Osh Oblast Internal Affairs Department.

Roadblocks have been set in Zhany-Nookat and Zulpuyev rural districts.

These checkpoints will operate around the clock to conduct awareness-raising work.

The main goal is to preserve public health and prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Militia is asking citizens to treat these measures with understanding.

As of Mar.20, six cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Kyrgyzstan.

Three people were detected last night, Mar.19, in Nookat region of Osh Oblast.

The first cases were registered on Mar.18 in Suzak region, Dzalal-Abad Oblast.

An emergency regime has been declared in these areas.

All the citizens infected have arrived from Umrah in Saudi Arabia.
