Bishkek, March 30, 2021 . / Kabar / . In Bishkek, students of primary, 5th, 9th and 11th grades will continue to study in a traditional mode, head of the Education Department of the capital’s Mayor’s Office Elmira Imanaliyeva said during a briefing on Tuesday.
"Unfortunately, students of grades 6, 7, 8 and 10 will continue their studies online," she said.
In addition, the head of the Education Department pointed out that there should still be no more than 10 children in kindergarten groups.
Since the resumption of education in the traditional mode from Jan. 18 to March 9, COVID-19 was registered in 18 schools of Bishkek, as well as in 14 teachers and 13 children.
In 2020, Kyrgyzstan closed down schools because of spread of COVID-19, the education was conducted in distance mode.
It continued in the same format in 2020-2021 academic year.
Currently, students of primary, 5th, 9th and 11th graders attend the capital’s schools.
This year, spring holidays last 10 days in Kyrgyzstan, from March 22 till 31.
