Bishkek, July 19, 2020. /Kabar/. Over the past 24 hours, 70 coronavirus-related deaths were registered in Kyrgyzstan, taking into account community - acquired pneumonia, the press service of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus said Sunday.
Now, the republic's death toll from COVID-19 stands at 1,003.
On July 16, the country's Health Ministry took a decision on unified approach in treating COVID-19.
Thus, according to the newly adopted document, the country started to unite statistics of COVID-19 (U07.1 confirmed by laboratory) and community-acquired pneumonia (U07.2 -confirmed non-laboratory but manifests clinically).
As of July 19, Kyrgyzstan reported 1,020 new COVID-19 (U07.1 and U07.2) cases, raising the total number of infections to 26,532.
