Bishkek, June 8, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan’s Osh city and Osh Oblast entered the "red" zone in terms of coronavirus cases, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development Zhalalidin Rahmatulaev told during a briefing Tuesday.
"In the past day, 50 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Osh city and 28 fresh ones were recorded in Osh Oblast,” he said.
The deputy minister added Bishkek, Chui and Issyk-Kul Oblast of the republic are in the "red" zone.
The distribution of regions by zones is related to two indicators - the rate of R-reproduction or transmission of infection from a diseased person to a contact person of the number of infected. The second indicator is the incidence of the disease per 100 thousand people in the last seven days.
Thus, over 50 cases per 100 thousand population, R is more than one - this is the "red" zone.
From 25 to 50 cases per 100 thousand people, R more than one is the "yellow" zone.
Less than 50 cases per 100,000 people, R less than one is the "green" zone.
