Bishkek, July 24, 2020. /Kabar/. COVID-19 coronavirus infection was officially registered with 0.5% of Kyrgyzstan’s population, Head of the Public Health Department of the country’s Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova told a news briefing Friday.
As of July 23, the coronavirus was detected in 31, 247 people.
"Of course, there are those among the population who have experienced the disease without symptoms. Such people have not applied to health-care facilities. What percentage, including among those who have not applied to hospitals, will be known upon immunoenzyme analysis. Private laboratories are working on it,” Akmatova added.
The Health Ministry’s representative noted antibody testing are conducted in all regions.
A total of 31,247 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country since the outbreak of the virus; 18,383 of them have recovered and 1,211 have passed away.
