COVID-19 reaches Kyrgyz Parliament as two deputies test positive

Bishkek, June 22, 2020. /Kabar/. Information about the infection of two deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) and members of the Parliament's Office with COVID-19 has been confirmed. Spokesman of the Parliament Ibraim Nurakun Uulu wrote on his Facebook page.

"We can't voice names of those infected, as this information is personal. We are all the more worried about their relatives, who may be concerned about family members," he said.

All those infected are isolated. This will not affect the work of Parliament in any way.

Moreover, the work on carrying out PCR-analysis of all MPs and employees of the Parliament is not completed.

The spokesman also noted that information about contamination with COVID-19 of five MPs which is being disseminated in mass media does not correspond to reality.
