COVID-19. Results of first category contact persons' analyses became available

Bishkek, Apr. 8, 2020. /Kabar/. The work on getting the analysis of first category persons who had been contacted with COVID-19 patients (close and family contacts) is completely finished today, Kyrgyzstan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov said at a briefing.

According to him, for today the picture of the situation is already known.

"In addition, the work on express testing of second category persons (other), except for Osh and Dzhalal-Abad Oblasts, is completed. It should be noted that second category persons rarely test positive. It is a world practice.

In 99 % of cases, this category of persons test negative. They will also undergo PCR analysis,” the deputy PM added.

The work in remaining two oblasts of the country will be completed in the coming days.

In Kyrgyzstan, 42 more cases of coronavirus infection were revealed today, Apr.8, thus bringing the total to 270. Of these, 32 are medical workers.

25 citizens have recovered and discharged from hospitals. Four have died.
