Bishkek, Nov. 5, 2020. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, situation with COVID-19 coronavirus infection has now stabilized, Deputy Health Minister of the country Nurbolot Usenbayev said at a meeting of the Parliament.
He noted that today it is difficult to give a long-term forecast of coronavirus incidence.
"We see a global trend. At present, we use special methods of WHO and Rospotrebnadzor (Russia’s Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing). There is such a notion as reproductive number – it is revealed how many people can infect one patient. During the last week, we have come to such a unit as one to one. This indicates a stabilization of the situation, and this is how it will develop in two weeks,” he explained.
Usenbayev added a respiratory infections peak and the growth of pneumonia patients increases after Nov. 20. According to him, it is an annual phenomenon.
"Perhaps, it will increase in this regard. We predict the number of influenza will increase from the end of November to January. We track these predictions and take guidance from Russia and neighboring countries," he added.
