COVID-19: Uzbekistan confirms 268 new cases

Tashkent, June 17, 2020. /Kabar/. As 10:00 a.m. June 17, 2020 Uzbekistan’s total number of coronavirus cases has made 5,561.

According to the Health Ministry’s press service, in the past day 268 new cases have been detected, 77 COVID-19 patients have recovered.

Uzbekistan has extended quarantine until Aug.1, and restrictions and rules on quarantine measures are in force in all regions. Since June 1, a number of activities have been allowed, depending on quarantine levels - "red" (high), "yellow" (medium) and "green" (low).

Starting June 8, religious institutions in the "green" zones are resumed, while from June 15 - preschools, cafes and restaurants, clothing markets with the condition of observance sanitary safety measures.

4,096 people nationwide have cured of COVID-19, and 19 people have passed away.

1,446 patients are undergoing treatment. Condition of 13 of them is assessed as serious.
