Creation of trade and logistics center of Kyrgyzstan discussed in Iran

Bishkek, Oct.15, 2024. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Iran Turdakun Sydykov met with Deputy First Vice President of Iran Najafi Khoshroudi.

During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues on the development of Kyrgyz-Iranian bilateral cooperation, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

Sydykov proposed to intensify joint efforts in realizing the potential of the two countries in trade and economic, investment and transit-transport cooperation, including using the capabilities of Iranian seaports and opening a trade and logistics center of Kyrgyzstan in Iran.

In addition, the Kyrgyz ambassador handed over to the Iranian side passports of national projects in Kyrgyzstan in the field of energy, agriculture, construction of pharmaceutical and cement plants, electronics, mining of rare earth metals, etc., and invited Iranian companies to participate in the implementation of the mentioned investment projects.

In turn, Najafi Khoshroudi assured that he would make every effort to advance the agenda of bilateral cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest.

He supported the proposals of the Kyrgyz side on the need to increase joint efforts to realize the potential of trade, economic and investment cooperation with a focus on the practical implementation of the project to create a trade and logistics center of Kyrgyzstan in Iran.

The deputy first VP of Iran also promised to study and present the relevant Iranian companies to implement the presented investment projects in Kyrgyzstan.
