Criminal case initiated on accident killing three Kyrgyz citizens

Bishkek, Jan.24, 2020. /Kabar/. A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the accident killing three Kyrgyz citizens, the press service of the Internal Ministry of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to the data of the Kyrgyz Internal Ministry’s representative office in Russia, the accident involving vehicles KAMAZ 5220 and Honda Stream occurred on Jan.22, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at 117th km of the Chelyabinsk-Troitsk highway of Russia.

Five people-passengers of the Honda Stream were killed in the accident. Of these, 3 were citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic: 50-year-old native of Osh Oblast; 44-year-old driver of Honda Stream and 27-year-old both are natives of Osh Oblast.

Other two passengers are citizens of Tajikistan (57yo) and Uzbekistan (23yo).

At present, the territorial Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the Russian Internal Ministry in the Chelyabinsk Oblast initiated a criminal case on the grounds of elements of an offence under the article “violation of traffic rules and vehicle operation, resulting in the death of two or more people by negligence” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Relatives of all the deceased citizens have been identified, and the investigation of the road traffic accident is under way in close cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the law enforcement agencies of Chelyabinsk Oblast.

The circumstances and causes of the road traffic accident are being determined.
