Famous Portuguese football player, player of Juventus club in Turin Cristiano Ronaldo visited a girl from Kyrgyzstan who is undergoing treatment in Italy, leading researcher of the Department of Pediatric Oncology of the National Oncology Center Damira Baizakova wrote on social media.
The little girl’s name is Yuna, she is suffering from bone sarcoma – a malignant tumor that occurs in the connective tissue.
“She has undergone chemotherapy with an effect, then she went for treatment to the city of Turin for further treatment and surgery (prosthetics). God be thanked! The operation was successful. Deep gratitude goes to Rodney Seddon, who paid for everything and has been helping the Kyrgyz children for many years, Dr. Raimondo Piana, Dr. Sebastian, Dr. Nicollo Rotte, curator and mentor of our children Oleksandra Vakula,” she shared.
Baizakova told that during the treatment, Juventus players, including Ronaldo, came to the hospital to support the children. “Yuna was visited by several football players, including the famous Cristiano Ronaldo and his wife, Georgina Rodríguez,” she noted, adding that another child from the Kyrgyz Republic, Nurpazyl, was visited by Italian policemen with gifts. He is doing well too.
