Bishkek, Sept. 12, 2019. / Kabar /. The opening of the forum of the International Youth School of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) “Eurasian Security: Promising Directions” is held in Bishkek.
The event is being held today with the participation of representatives of Russia, Tajikistan, Serbia and Kyrgyzstan.
Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Damir Sagynbayev made a welcoming speech. He told the forum’s guests about Kyrgyzstan’s participation in the CSTO’s activities to reduce the threats posed by terrorism, illegal migration, drug trafficking and illegal activities on the Internet.
He also said that a number of anti-terrorist exercises were conducted this year across the country.
“The CSTO Youth School is an interesting practice, which allows revealing the main aspects of the organization’s activities, highlighting measures to counter global threats of our time, and discuss regional security issues. I am sure that Bishkek, taking the baton of such events, will contribute to the formation of a common information and analytical field of the CSTO,” the secretary said.
The participants of the forum will also lay flowers at the Eternal Flame on Victory Square, visit the Chingiz Aitmatov House Museum and hold cultural events.
