CSTO strengthens inter-confessional harmony in Eurasia

Bishkek, Nov.14, 2024. /Kabar/. The Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Moscow hosted an interactive roundtable discussion on “Interreligious Dialogue as a Way to Strengthen Collective Security”. Analysts and public figures from the Organization’s partner countries participated in the event in online format.

The discussion was dedicated to the “Day of Information and Press of the Kyrgyz Republic”

“Head of the Information and Public Relations Division of the CSTO Secretariat Yuri Shuvalov informed about the Organization's activities aimed at countering challenges and threats to security, including in terms of analytical and forecasting work, and also noted the extreme importance of participation of representatives of religious associations in socio-political processes,” the CSTO Secretariat said.

The participants of the round table thoroughly discussed the issues of interreligious relations, interaction of religious organizations with society and the media in the Eurasian space. The initiative of Head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia Albir Krganov on the need to create a platform for interreligious dialog to strengthen social harmony and development was approved and supported.

The event was attended by representatives of the media, religious communities and leading analytical centers of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, including the National Research University “Higher School of Economics”, the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the National Institute for Strategic Initiatives under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Center for Socially Conservative Policy.
