CSTO summit results in final declaration and number of multilateral documents

Bishkek, Sept. 16, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov took part in a session of the Council of Collective Security of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Dushanbe on Sept. 16, his press service reported.

During the meeting, heads of CSTO member states reviewed regional security and international cooperation issues, as well as the situation in Afghanistan and issues related to the work of the association.

The summit was held in person and was chaired by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas also attended the session.

As a result, the following documents were signed:

1. Declaration of the CSTO Collective Security Council;

2. Agreement on jurisdiction and legal assistance in cases involving the temporary stay of formations of Collective Security Forces on the territories of the CSTO member states;

3. Agreement on joint material, technical and medical support of CSTO troops (Collective Forces);

4. Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on CSTO Peacekeeping Activities of Oct. 6, 2007;

5. Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council on the plan of events to mark the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Collective Security Treaty and the 20th anniversary of the Collective Security Treaty Organization;

6. Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council "On the plan to equip the Collective Security Treaty Organization's Collective Rapid Reaction Forces with modern weapons, military and special equipment and special facilities";

7. Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council "On the Scheme of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Protected Multiservice Communication Network".

8. Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council "On the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization for Peacekeeping";


9. Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council "On Chairman of the Interstate Commission for Military-Economic Cooperation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization;

10. Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council "On Head of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Joint Staff";

11. Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council "On the composition of military contingents and special-purpose force formations of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Collective Rapid Reaction Forces";

12.Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council "On the Report on the Implementation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Budget for 2020”;

13. Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council "On the Collective Security Treaty Organization Budget for 2022”;

14. Protocol decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council "On the chairmanship of the Organization, time and venue of the next session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization".

Tajikistan transferred the chairmanship to Armenia.
