Bishkek, Feb. 7, 2022. / Kabar /. Roerich Museum in Bishkek and the Traditional Wushu Federation of Kyrgyzstan organized last weekend a cultural event on the occasion of the Spring Festival.
There are different traditions of celebrating the New Year in the world. This year, according to the eastern calendar, which is more commonly known as Chinese, the New Year of the Tiger comes in February. In China, this holiday is called the Spring Festival.
Nicholas Roerich traveled a lot in the East, in particular in China. The basis of his teaching, calling people to peace, the study of human nature, the universe, was the ideas of Eastern philosophers, including the sages of China - Lao Tzu and Confucius.
After a fascinating lecture on the work of Roerich, the cultural program of the Traditional Wushu Federation was presented to the visitors of the museum. Thanks to the performances of wushu players of the federation, the audience was able to get acquainted with the technique and content of various styles and directions of traditional wushu (kungfu).
Federation President Evgeny Lopatkin and Secretary General Natalia Neshcheret spoke about the peculiarities of Chinese culture through the prism of classical martial art, through its ideological, educational, health and sports aspects.
The cultural evening, organized jointly by the Roerich Museum and the Federation of Traditional Wushu of the Kyrgyz Republic, combined culture, sports, art and knowledge.
