Bishkek, Feb. 3, 2020. / Kabar /. Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Zhamankulov met with Ambassador of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic Maeda Shigeki.
The press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the further development of relations between the two countries in the field of culture and tourism was discussed at the meeting. In particular, the ambassador noted that the tourism sector has great potential for attracting tourists from Japan, and also that one of his main tasks at this post is to introduce Japan to Kyrgyzstan.
The minister noted the contribution of Japanese investors to various projects in the field of culture, such as “One Village - One Product”, archaeological excavations in the village of Ak-Beshim, as well as a general cultural grant project for cultural and educational institutions.
The sides noted their readiness to cooperate in the field of culture, tourism and information in order to strengthen bilateral relations in general.
