Bishkek, March 31, 2023. / Kabar/. Dancers from Kyrgyzstan became winners and prize-winners of the international ballroom dancing tournament in Kazakhstan ALMATY OPEN – 2023, President of the Dance Sport Federation of Kyrgyzstan Sergey Titunin said.
The annual competitions were held in Almaty from 24 to 26 March under the auspices of the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF). Athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Russia and Azerbaijan took part in the tournament.
Couples from Kyrgyzstan showed good results and won 11 prizes:
Dmitry Blinkov and Asal Mambetova in the category "Youth Latina" in the open championship of the AFTS RK took 1st place among 11 couples. Also in the category "Youth + Adults, Latina" (Open class) Rising Stars, they took 1st place among 13 couples;
Khasan Ibragimov and Veronika Tyan in the category "Youth + Adults, Standard" (Open class) Rising Stars took 3rd place among 11 couples; in the category "Youth + Adults, Standard" (up to B class) took 3rd place among 14 couples;
Ruslan Valiev and Iremnisa Ulash (the couple participated in the cups of one dance) in the category "Youth + Adults, Slow Waltz Cup" took 3rd place; in the category "Youth + Adults, Quick Cup" took 2nd place; in the category "Youth + Adults, Samba Cup" took 2nd place among 4 couples; in the category "Youth + Adults, Cha Cha Cup" took 3rd place among 7 couples; in the category "Youth + Adults, Jive Cup" took 3rd place among 5 couples;
Andrey Gusev and Meerim Zhenishbekova in the category "Youth + Adults, Latina 4 dances" (D class) took 1st place among 13 couples.
Alikhan Berdiev and Rumiya Kamalidinova in the category "Junior 2, Latina 4 dance" (D class) took 3rd place among 10 couples.
