Osh, Oct. 2, 2018. /Kabar/. Activities were held in the central square of Osh, on Tuesday, within the framework of the month for disaster risk reduction. During the activities, a solemn military march, a demonstration of special equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, demonstration performances of actions in case of earthquakes, evacuation of the victims, first aid by rescuers, students took place.
Moreover, rescuers showed actions in case of a threat and occurrence of fire starting from evacuation and the provision of first aid before the actions after the arrival of emergency services.
In addition, an exhibition of schoolchildren’s drawings on the topic of disaster prevention and prevention was held. The authors of the best drawings were awarded with memorable gifts. A wide concert program was held with the participation of pop stars, the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports held demonstration performances among students of the karate section.
The purpose of the event is to increase the culture of behavior and safety of the population in the face of threats and emergencies of natural and man-made nature, promotion of the work of rescuers and measures to reduce the risk of disasters.
The ceremonial events were attended by State Secretary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Mambetov, First Deputy Mayor of Osh Saibzhan Turduev, staff of the Emergencies Ministry in the city, heads of bodies of the Civil Protection of the city, university students, schoolchildren, residents.
The Month dedicated to the Day for Disaster Reduction is held from September 5 to October 5, during which an information campaign among the population about the rules of behavior in natural and man-made emergencies, measures to prevent natural disasters is carried out at the republican level.
