Bishkek, Dec. 9, 2021 / Kabar /. The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the assistance of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tehran, organized the Day of the Kyrgyz Economy, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The event was attended by Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran Turdakun Sydykov, President of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce Golamhossein Shafei and online Senior Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Roman Kasymov, Ambassador of Iran to Kyrgyzstan Said Kharrazi, as well as Iranian entrepreneurs, interested in cooperation with Kyrgyz companies.
During the event, the chambers of commerce of Kyrgyzstan and Iran signed a Memorandum on the establishment of the Kyrgyz-Iranian joint committee on trade. The implementation of the signed document will make it possible to intensify trade, economic, investment cooperation and contacts between the business communities of the two countries in priority areas.
Within the framework of the Day of the Kyrgyz Economy Sydykov informed the Iranian business community about the investment climate of Kyrgyzstan and made a presentation of 50 promising investment projects in the fields of hydropower, agriculture, industry, infrastructure and tourism.
The Kyrgyz ambassador called on Iranian entrepreneurs to create joint industrial enterprises on the territory of Kyrgyzstan in order to sell finished products in the markets of the EAEU countries, the CIS, the EU (within the framework of the GSP + status) and the WTO.
The attention of Iranian businessmen was attracted by the liberal legislation of Kyrgyzstan on the procedure for opening a company, tax, currency regimes and the activities of free economic zones.
At the event, the Kyrgyz Embassy distributed printed materials with investment projects and brochures about tourist attractions in the Kyrgyz Republic.
