Day of Kyrgyzstan celebrated in South Korea

Bishkek, Oct. 6, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Day of Kyrgyzstan was celebrated as part of the International Wild Ginseng Anti-aging Expo, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The city of Hamyang, South Korea hosted on Monday a celebration of the Day of Kyrgyzstan in the framework of the International Wild Ginseng Anti-aging Expo, which was organized by Hamyan administration.

During the event, the Kyrgyz Embassy presented tourism opportunities, a concert program, culture and organic products of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Anthems of the two countries were played at the festive event, as well as video about Kyrgyzstan was shown, and welcoming speeches were made by Mayor of Hamyan So Chun-Su, Kyrgyz Ambassador to South Korea Dinara Kemelova and MP of Kensan-Namdo Province Kim Jae-Un.

In her speech, Kemelova told about the celebration of the 30th anniversary of independence of the Kyrgyz Republic, important achievements and events in the history of bilateral relations, the ongoing democratic processes in Kyrgyzstan, and stressed the importance of joint activities aimed at bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together.

A special pavilion with the Kyrgyz diaspora also organized a screening of videos about the tourism potential of the country, a photo exhibition of works by Vlad Ushakov on the beautiful nature of Kyrgyzstan, and booklets about the tourist and investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic were distributed.

As part of the event, a Kyrgyz-Korean round table was held with Mayor of Hamyan So Chun-Su, representatives of industry agencies and departments, where the sides discussed the possibility of establishing twinning relations with Kyrgyz cities, the reception of labor under the EPS system and seasonal workers, inter-regional trade and economic relations and implementation of joint projects.

At the event, the Korean guests were able to taste the national treats and Kyrgyz honey.
