The Ministry of Culture, Information and Sports of the country said that the event was attended by State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Republic Suyunbek Kasmambetov, Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Azamat Zhamankulov, Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Rayev.

This holiday is celebrated in Kyrgyzstan for the 18th time. This year, representatives of Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, the Republic of Altai, Khakassia and Tuva of the Russian Federation took part in it, the report said.

The week consisted of cultural and scientific sections.

In the official part of the event, Minister of Culture Azamat Zhamankulov spoke in detail about the significance of the holiday, he also noted that Kyrgyzstan is actively working to improve and preserve such large-scale cultural projects as the World Festival of World Epics and the World Nomad Games.

Sultan Rayev noted that this event will be included in the list of cultural events of TURKSOY. The secretary general also said that in 2023 the city of Shusha, Azerbaijan, will celebrate the Day of Traditional Music.
