Moscow, June 21 / Kabar /. Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Russia are opened in Moscow. The official opening ceremony was timed to the state visit of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev to the Russian capital.
The gala concert was held in the Grand Kremlin Palace, which gathered thousands of Kyrgyzstanis across Russia.
Coordinator of the concert program Darika Asylbasheva told journalists that they made a unique program that will be interesting to all viewers without exception.
"All the masters of Kyrgyz art take part. The concert program covers several genres, including folklore, opera and variety genre. In total, more than 200 people came from Kyrgyzstan," she said.
Asylbasheva added that Days of Culture include not only a concert, but an exhibition, and a show of Kyrgyz cinema.
During the opening ceremony, the opening speech was delivered by Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Tugelbai Kazakov. He greeted everyone at a concert dedicated to the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Russia.
"Exactly 25 years ago, Kyrgyzstan and Russia established diplomatic relations. However, the common historical and cultural relations last for centuries. Today's event, first of all, is aimed at strengthening the cultural dialogue between our countries, preserving mutual enrichment, linking and developing unique cultures of the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Russia," he said.
In turn, also at the opening, the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation, Mikhail Shvydkoi said that Kyrgyzstan is homeland.
"I was born in the city of Kant. My homeland is very important for me as Russia is, it has become for me a spiritual homeland. This country unites a lot and gives much to my fellow countrymen who are sitting here today, "he said.
Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan will last 15 days.
