Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan to be held in Belarus this summer

Bishkek, May 6, 2024. /Kabar/. The Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan will be held in Belarus in June 2024, the Ministry of Culture reported.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Chyngyz Esengul uulu, as part of participation in the VI World Forum of Intercultural Dialogue in Baku, met with Minister of Culture of Belarus Anatoly Markevich.

During the meeting, Chyngyz Esengul uulu voiced the request of Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Altynbek Maksutov regarding the holding of the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Belarus in the first half of June.

Minister of Culture of Belarus Anatoly Markevich agreed with the proposal.

During the meeting, the parties noted that cultural ties between the two countries have deep roots and holding cultural days and national days will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening the common cultural and information space and the development of bilateral relations.

Thus, within the framework of the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Belarus, days of Kyrgyz cinema, art exhibitions of elements of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan, a fashion show of Kyrgyz designers, meetings of representatives of the intelligentsia of the two states and a gala concert of Kyrgyz art masters are planned.

The Kyrgyz delegation will also hold negotiations with the leadership of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and meetings are planned with the heads of leading theatrical and entertainment institutions and educational institutions in the field of culture of Belarus.

In turn, Belarusian colleagues invited and asked to take part in events within the framework of the days of national cultures of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) at the international arts festival “Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk” in July 2024, where the Kyrgyz side confirmed its participation.
