Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan to be held in largest Russian cities

Bishkek, Oct. 14, 2024. /Kabar/. The Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan, an event aimed at strengthening friendship and cultural exchange between the countries, will be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg on Oct. 18-22, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Culture said.

The Days of Culture will feature a variety of events showcasing the country's unique culture and traditions:

- The opening of the Kyrgyz Cinema Days will be on Oct. 18. As part of the opening, iconic films of Kyrgyz cinematography will be shown, offering viewers the opportunity to touch the original atmosphere of the Kyrgyz people.

- Book Presentation and Forum of Intellectuals from Kyrgyzstan and Russia – Oct. 19: The presentation of Kyrgyz writer Osmonakun Ibraimov's book and the meeting of intellectuals from Kyrgyzstan and Russia will deepen cultural ties, facilitating the exchange of ideas and views on future cooperation.

- Opening of the exhibition of Kyrgyz artists – Oct.19: Visitors will be able to see the works of famous Kyrgyz artists.

- Masters of Arts Gala Concert – Oct. 20. The event is timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast, a significant milestone in the history of the formation of modern Kyrgyz statehood.

- Meeting with compatriots in the Moscow concert hall – Oct. 21. Talented Kyrgyz artists will perform folk and modern musical works for the guests at the meeting.

- The performance at the S.M. Schepkin Theater School – Oct. 22. Rounding out the program, a performance dedicated to Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov will be shown on the stage of the theater school.

- Concert of Kyrgyz Masters of Arts – Oct. 22. Concluding the program, outstanding performers will present traditional and contemporary art of Kyrgyzstan, demonstrating the rich cultural heritage of the country.

- Concert of Kyrgyz masters of arts – Oct. 22. A festive concert will also take place in St. Petersburg, where the audience will be able to experience the best examples of Kyrgyz music and dance art.

- Screening of the Saadat Kakty play (Groaning of the bowstring) – Oct. 21. The play by Beksultan Zhakiev, based on Kyrgyz legends and myths, will transport the audience to the ancient and mysterious world of the Kyrgyz people.
