Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan to be held in Uzbekistan after 23-year break

Tashkent, Oct. 11, 2018. /Kabar/. Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan will be held in Uzbekistan from October 24 to 28 of the current year, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Tashkent reported.

The program of activities includes a gala concert at Alisher Navoi State Grand Academic Theatre, the opening of the days of cinema of Kyrgyzstan in Tashkent, the presentation of the exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Chyngyz Aitmatov.

As part of the events, a Kyrgyz delegation will visit the city of Samarkand.

After the countries of Central Asia gained independence, the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan were first held in 1995. Then the Kyrgyz delegation was headed by the Secretary of State of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Ishenbay Abdrazakov. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan was Batyraly Sydykov.

This event is being held after a 23-year break.
