Days of Iranian Cinema held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Feb. 7, 2019. /Kabar/. The Days of Iranian Cinema started at Aitmatov House of Cinema in Bishkek on Wednesday. The event is devoted to the 40th anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The program includes screening of two fiction films: "Breath" and "Mermaid".

On February 7-8, films will be shown to students of Aitmatov Lyceum in Novopavlovka, Sokuluk region, and students of the International University of Kyrgyzstan.

“Breath”, fiction, drama, duration – 112 min, 2016, scriptwriter and director of the film – Narges Abyar.

Synopsis: Iran, 70s of the last century. This is the story of a little girl living with her father and grandmother and immersed in her childish surrealistic world filled with dreams and fantasies.

“Mermaid”, fiction, drama, duration – 80 min, 2016, scriptwriter and director – Amir Masoud Aghababaian. Synopsis: Younes is the only survivor of a diving team in the legendary and religious defensive area near the Persian Gulf coast. He wants to remind his comrades of the importance of protecting the environment, as he faces serious oil pollution at sea.
