Days of Kazakh cinema to be held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Aug. 1, 2022 . /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek will host on Aug. 5-6 the Days of Kazakh cinema, the Department of Cinematography of Kyrgyzstan said.

The event will be organized by the State Center for the Support of National Cinema (SCSNC) with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz Film National Film Studio, the Union of Cinematographers of Kyrgyzstan and the House of Cinema named after Aitmatov.

Head of SCSNC international department Asel Yrys noted that this year the film center took the initiative to organize Days of Kazakh cinema in 15 countries of near and far abroad.

"Bishkek will be our starting point. Thus, the Ala-Too Cinema will present films Mukagali by Bolat Kalymbetov and Fire by Aizhan Kasymbek. Our main goal - the development of business contacts and international promotion of Kazakhstani films, as well as attracting partners and investors for the creation of joint projects,” she said.

Within the frameworks of the Days of Kazakh cinema, the presentation of the the State Center for the Support of National Cinema will also take place.
