Days of Kyrgyz Films to take place in Tokyo

Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2018. /Kabar/. Days of Kyrgyz Films will take place in Tokyo, Japan, on Sept. 2-3, 2018. A premiere of the documentary film “600 DNEY VERY” (Russian: 600 ДНЕЙ ВЕРЫ, lit.: 600 days of faith) and showing of several works by Kyrgyz cinematographers within this event.

The authors of the documentary film “600 DNEY VERY” said that they had made a long way to the creation of this documentary film, a huge amount of work had been done, but despite all the difficulties, the film is finished and is going to Tokyo.

Events in the film “600 DNEY VERY” are based on a true story, which happened in distant post-war years of 1946-1948.

The thrilling story narrates about a group of Japanese war captives that arrived in the Kyrgyz land, where they became engaged in constructing the well-known military sanatorium in Tamga village, the Kyrgyz SSR. 600 days later they all returned back to their homeland safe and sound thanks to the hospitality, kindness and generosity of the Kyrgyz nation.

In the plot center is the story of two citizens of Japan - Miyano-san and Matsuda-san. As the heroes told themselves, those were 600 days of faith.

Faith in friendship, destiny, hope for life and return to homeland, and along with that, not losing human dignity and honor - the heroes of the documentary film had to go through all of these challenges.

The director of the film “600 DNEY VERY” is Arstanbek Sargaldaev, the founder of MEDIA LAB company.

The organizer of the Days of Kyrgyz Films in Japan is the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Japan with the support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Japan.
