Bishkek, Jan. 16, 2020. / Kabar /. The meeting of the charge d'affaires of Kyrgyzstan in Azerbaijan Bakyt Yusupov with Deputy Minister of Culture Rafig Bayramov was held, where the sides discussed the issues of cooperation in the cultural sphere.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, at the meeting, the sides noted the importance of deepening cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, which is based on the similarity of cultures, traditions and language.
In connection with the beginning of the new calendar year, the results of 2019 regarding the events held on the territory of the parties, the participation of representatives of state bodies and creative groups, as well as mutual support of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan at international venues were discussed.
Bayramov noted the support provided by Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan in the inclusion of the Khan's Palace and the historical center of Sheki in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The parties also expressed satisfaction with the current state of development of bilateral cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, and also discussed the main areas of cooperation for 2020, including the possibility of holding the Decade of Azerbaijani Culture in Kyrgyzstan.
“At the end of the negotiations, the sides also noted the importance of mutual support to the initiatives of the creative teams in holding various events,” the report said.
