Bishkek, Nov. 30, 2020 / Kabar/. A decade of free legal aid will be held in Kyrgyzstan from Nov. 30 to Dec. 5, Akzhol Kalbekov, the Director of the Center for Coordination of State-Guaranteed Legal Aid under the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic told reporters at Kabar News Agency.

He said that such a decade is held every year. In 2019, more than 30 thousand citizens received free legal assistance.

“Then we covered our country more extensively, as we visited the places where a large number of citizens gathered. This year, due to the pandemic, the format has been slightly changed. More events will be online,” he said.

Akzhol Kalbekov added that according to the analysis of the past decades, most often citizens seek help on issues such as inheritance, real estate, land issues, family relationships, that is, alimony and divorce proceedings. There are also social security issues.

“Following the results of last year, we have developed manuals on frequently asked questions. These manuals are distributed among the population. The uniqueness of such manuals is that they are written in simple language,” said the director of the Center.
