Decisions on opening of kindergartens and schools in Kyrgyzstan to be made soon

Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2020 ./Kabar/. A decision on the opening of kindergartens will be made in the coming days.

At a news briefing at the Government House, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov said that earlier, all kindergartens have been closed due to the pandemic, and private kindergartens are working now with the consent of the Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

"State and municipal kindergartens are checked by district and city commissions, the decision to open them will be made in the coming days. For this purpose, the algorithms of kindergartens work have been adopted. Work has also begun on disinfecting kindergarten buildings," the prime minister said.

He also noted that the decision to open schools will be taken near the end of September.

"Now the sanitary-epidemiological experts together with the Ministry of Education are considering all possible experience in this direction and working around the clock,” PM Boronov added.

In Kyrgyzstan, all schools have been switched to distance learning since March.

Due to coronavirus pandemic, new academic year in the country began in an unusual mode - only first-graders attend schools, all others study online.
