Tashkent, Dec. 15, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Tashkent Declaration of the Forum of Commissioners for Protection of Rights of Entrepreneurs (Business Ombudsmen) of Europe and Asia was signed on Tuesday.
The document defines the basic principles of cooperation in the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of business entities, support for business development and international cooperation, the press service of the Uzbek Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade said Wednesday.
The Forum was devoted to the discussion of joint measures to expand inter-regional cooperation between business ombudsmen in Europe and Asia, the consolidation of their efforts to improve the business environment, improve the investment climate, increase state support for businesses, reduce pressure on business, the removal of legal barriers.
The event held in the hybrid mode was attended by business ombudsmen of Uzbekistan, Russia, Korea, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland and Ukraine, as well as heads of OSCE offices in Uzbekistan, OECD, EBRD, GIZ (Germany), Council of Europe, UN, USAID, JICA, KOICA, TIKA, heads of ministries and departments, international experts and public figures, representatives of non-profit non-governmental organizations, private sector and mass media.
The Declaration also provides for the establishment of an Advisory Committee of Commissioners for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights, which is designed to become an effective permanent platform for cooperation between business ombudsmen in Europe and Asia.
