Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2021 . / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov met on Thursday with Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, the press service of the Cabinet reported.
The high-level meeting was held on the eve of the First European Union-Central Asia Economic Forum within the framework of implementation of the EU strategy for development of cooperation with the countries of Central Asia.
The sides noted the upcoming forum is a new stage of economic cooperation between the European Union and Central Asia.
EU delegation expressed a high interest of European partners in the prospects for bilateral cooperation with the countries of the region.
"I believe that the forum can become a fully working economic platform on an annual basis. We attach special importance to strengthening cooperation with the European Union and European countries. Deepening partnership with the European Union is one of the main priorities of the foreign policy of the Kyrgyz Republic," the chairman of the Cabinet noted.
Akylbek Zhaparov also informed the high representative about the priorities of the Cabinet of Ministers and ongoing reforms.
