Defense Ministries of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan sign Cooperation Plan for 2021

Bishkek, March 3, 2021. / Kabar /. The Kazakh capital city of Nur-Sultan hosted on Wednesday a meeting of Defense Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Omuraliyev and Kazakhstan Nurlan Yermekbayev.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Defense Ministry reported that the meeting took place within the framework of state visit of President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the military-political situation in the region, the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation in the military and military-technical fields and agreed on further steps to strengthen it.

An issues of combat training of units, training of military personnel, holding joint bilateral exercises of Anirakai special forces, participation in international army games, etc were also debated.

Following the meeting, the defense ministers of the two countries signed an Agreement between the two governments on military and technical assistance and a Cooperation Plan between the Defense Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan for 2021.
