Delegate of Kurultai from Italy asks to solve pension issue of Kyrgyzstanis abroad

Bishkek, Dec. 21, 2024 . / Kabar / . Delegate of the Third People's Kurultai from Italy Aigul Alieva asked to solve pension issues.

She noted that many elderly citizens from Kyrgyzstan live in Italy. To retire there it is necessary to work 20-30 years. The calculation starts again if person is 40-50 years old.

The delegate noted that the lack of an agreement between Italy and Kyrgyzstan creates particularly acute problems with pensions.

"If, as in other countries, there was an agreement, the Italian government would count the years of work experience worked in Kyrgyzstan, and we could receive a pension when we reach retirement age," Alieva said.

Bishkek is hosting the second day of the Third People's Kurultai of Kyrgyzstan with the participation of President Sadyr Zhaparov.
