Bishkek, May 25, 2023. /Kabar/. A Kyrgyz-Lithuanian business forum was held in Bishkek, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Kyrgyzstan.
The CCI reported that Kyrgyz and Lithuanian entrepreneurs made presentations of their companies. Lithuanian business showed interest in the supply of steel products, petroleum products, fertilizers, grain crops, cotton, feed additives, chemical products for light and other industries, as well as fabrics from Kyrgyzstan.
Lithuania is ready to export diesel locomotives, autocompressors, wastewater treatment equipment, food products, pharmaceuticals, as well as provide advice on fish farming and modern technologies for the use of agricultural machinery and solar technologies.
The trade turnover between Lithuania and Kyrgyzstan reached EUR 372 million in 2022. This result is very positive, especially considering the geographic distance and recent supply chain challenges.
The positive dynamics of cooperation allows to hope for a further increase in trade. As a result of the business forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the report said.
